Watering: Water the Money plant when the top 2-3 cm of soil feels dry to the touch. Ensure that the soil remains moist but not waterlogged, as prolonged wet conditions can lead to root rot. 

Soil: Scindapsus aureus thrives in well-draining, lightweight soil. A standard potting mix with added perlite or orchid bark can provide the right balance of moisture retention and drainage. This plant is tolerant of a wide range of soil types as long as it doesn’t stay too soggy.

Fertilising: Feed the Money plant with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser. This encourages robust growth and vibrant foliage. Over-fertilising can lead to leggy growth and reduced leaf colour, so it’s important to use the fertiliser sparingly.

Common Pests: While Scindapsus aureus is relatively pest-resistant, it can still attract occasional pests such as spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs, especially when stressed or kept in dry conditions. Regularly inspect the plant, especially under the leaves, for any signs of infestation. If pests are found, treat the plant with insecticidal soap or neem oil. Money plants are also prone to fungal issues, especially when kept too damp, so be sure to avoid over-watering and maintain good airflow around the plant.
