  Function:

Leca (Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate) is a versatile growing medium that can be used for a variety of plants, including hydroponics, aquaponics, and traditional soil-based gardening. It provides excellent drainage and aeration, while also holding moisture well.

Application:

Leca is commonly used as a component of growing media for houseplants, container gardens, and hydroponic systems. It can also be used as a standalone medium for rooting cuttings or starting seeds.

Composition:

Leca is made from high-quality clay that is expanded at high temperatures. The resulting pellets are lightweight, porous, and uniform in size. They are pH-neutral and do not contain any harmful substances.

Use:

Leca can be used alone or mixed with other growing media, such as soil or coco coir. It is reusable and can be sterilized between uses. The watering frequency will depend on the plant species and growing conditions, but in general, Leca requires less frequent watering than traditional soil-based growing media.
