STARX Pyrethrum 5 EC (500ml RTS)

  Description on product:

An emulsifiable concentrate prepared from pyrethrum – nature’s own rapid-acting insecticide.Pyrethrum 5 EC controls aphids, blackflies, greenflies, caterpillars and whiteflies on organic flowers, fruit and vegetables. For use outdoors. in greenhouses and on pot plants throughout the season. For use on a range of edible crops and in ornamental plant production.

Irritant and dangerous for the environment.

Directions for use: Shake well before use

Appplication frequency: Apply every two to three weeks (14 days to 21 days)

Resistance: Pesticide resistance in glasshouse whitefly and some aphids is widespread. Where strains resistant to products containing pyrethrins occur, this product is unlikely to give satisfactory control.

Crop safety: Some species of plant may be sensitive to PYRETHRUM 5 EC and show signs of yellowing, particularly after a second application. Test spray on a small number of plants before spraying larger batches.

Application: PYRETHRUM 5 EC must be stored in a suitable pesticide store away from strong sunlight.

Water volume: It is essential to achieve good spray coverage of the target crop foliage for optimum pest control. Apply in a high volume spray to ensure thorough coverage of the foliage to the point of run-off. A spray volume between 275 and 1,500 litres per ha is recommended depending on the crop height and structure.

Drift: Avoid drift off the target area. PYRETHRUM 5 EC will have adverse effects on wild plants.

Safety precautions:

Operator protection: Engineering control of operator exposure must be used where reasonably practicable in addition to the following personal protectiver equipment.

Wear suitable protective clothing (coveralls) and suitable protective gloves when handling the concentrate. Wear suitable proterctive gloves when applying by hand-held equipment.

Do not apply via tractor mounted horizontal bookmk sprayers.

Wash hands after use. Do not breathe spray.

Environmental protection: High risk to bees. DO NOT apply to crops in flower or to those in which bees are actively foraging. Do not apply when flowering weeds are present. Do not contaminate water with the product or its container.

Storage and disposal:

Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Keep in original container, tightly closed, in a safe dark place. Empty container completely and dispose of safely.
